Sunday Corporate Worship
Greetings! We look forward to worshiping together with you.
Our Current Sermon Series:
Genesis
Preparing our hearts
The primary reason God has revealed His truth in Scripture is so that we can know Him. When we come together to meet God in the preaching of His word, pray that He would reveal Himself to you for communion and fellowship. The following are some of the things that I pray as I prepare to commune with God in His Word (adapted from John Piper).
Incline My Heart
Psalm 119:36 “Incline my heart to your testimonies, and not to selfish gain!”
Open My Eyes
Psalm 119:18 “Open my eyes, that I may behold wondrous things from your law. “
Unite My Heart
Psalm 86:11 “unite my heart to fear your name.”
Satisfy my Soul
Psalm 90:14 “Satisfy us in the morning with your steadfast love, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.“

Fellowship Refreshments
Each Sunday after our morning worship service we encourage our church body to stay around for mutual encouragement and fellowship with one another. To “encourage” fellowship with one another we provide coffee or tea.
Childcare Help
It is our joy each Sunday we provide care for children 0-3 during our corporate worship service. If you would like to help occasionally with this ministry, please contact Joanne Herfurth through the church office at (509) 893-8644
Mothers’/Babies’ Cry Room
As a church we are so glad to have our children worshiping together with us in our corporate worship services. We do recognize though that it does take training and mentoring to help children to be able to benefit from our Sunday morning worship. This is one of the reasons why we have set-up a“Mothers’/Babies’ Cry Room.” This is a place where mothers who are nursing can go with their babies, but it is also a place where younger children can be helped to benefit from our Sunday morning worship.
This is located in the 2nd floor hallway behind the soundproof glass we recently installed that overlooks our auditorium. We have installed a speaker so that our service can both be seen and heard from this location. We would encourage mothers who use this setting to help it be a place where their children’s needs can be ministered to, but also at the same time be a place where they can be part of our corporate worship service.
Prayer
(Theology of Prayer - Jim Moore)
Prayer time before service
Each Sunday, we have a prayer time before our morning worship service and other needs in our body. We would welcome you to come pray with us. We meet in the COHBC office.
Women’s Prayer
The ladies of COHBC meet each week on Thursdays from 9-10 am for prayer at our church facility in the Fellowship Hall. This is a very encouraging and challenging time to ask God to work in and through our ministry for His glory. If you have any questions contact Martha at 747-8584.
Elder Prayer
One of the primary priorities of Elders of a local church is to faithfully pray. Therefore as Elders we devote extended time in prayer. Each week we proactively pray through a number of the families at our church, but it is helpful for us when you let us know specific prayer requests that you have.
Prayer Requests
On Sundays, please jot down your prayer request on a response card and put it in the boxes in the back of the auditorium, or feel free to send me an Email (Jsmith@COHBC.org) during the week so that we will know how to pray for you more specifically.
